Apply to the Program

Emerging Voices Application Form

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1ST

ELLIGIBILITY: The program is open to all high school, college and graduate students that identify as LGBT or are working on projects that explore LGBT themes. The projects must in some way address social justice themes as well, through representation or subject matter, and this is open to personal interpretation. Faculty sponsors are strongly encouraged but not required.

INSTRUCTIONS: Please fill out this form completely and make the case for your project. What are your goals? How will you benefit from the program? How will you use the grant money and how much do you need? How will your project benefit the LGBT community?

To be included in the Emerging Voices Showcase in October, projects must be completed by September 15th.

INFORMATION: The New Hollywood LGBT is proud to announce the launch of the Emerging Voices Student Filmmaker Program, which provides small grants to LGBT high school and college filmmakers working on short films with social justice themes. Students will be paired with a mentor from The New Hollywood LGBT leadership group for guidance.

Applications for the 2016 program will open on July 13 and close September 1.
